Which education expenses can maternity capital cover?
Can be used to pay for:
- children’s education at institutions of any level, from kindergarten to university.
In addition:
- Accommodation provided by the educational institution.
- The child’s upkeep, supervision and care within the organisation.
How old must the child be?
Usually you must wait until the child turns three. At the start of education, the child must be no older than 25.
Kindergarten fees are an exception: maternity capital can be used for them immediately after birth.
Whose education can be paid for?
Maternity capital can pay for the education of any child in the family, not only the child whose birth established entitlement to the certificate.
It is also possible to pay for several children’s education at once.
Where to apply
Applications may be submitted online through the Russian Pension Fund website or Gosuslugi, or in writing to local Pension Fund offices or multifunctional centres, regardless of place of residence.
