The five most important updates for 2022 university applicants
1. You may submit Unified State Exam results from 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. 2. You may apply to five universities at once. Each university determines the number of programmes itself, up to 10; in practice it is usually 4–5, sometimes fewer. 3. Applications may be submitted remotely, by post or in person. 4. Admission will still take place in a single round. The more clearly you choose your university and submit your enrolment consent and school certificate on time, the easier it will be to become a student. 5. No medical certificate is required, although several specialities still require a medical examination: general medicine, pharmacy, pedagogy and psychology of deviant behaviour, and others.
By 1 February, all school leavers must decide which Unified State Exams to take. To improve your chances of entering a good university, it is worth choosing four exams rather than three. Why? Universities have the right to change admission exams, and they use it. One university may require Russian, history and social studies. Another may require geography instead of social studies for the same speciality. A third may offer a choice between social studies and geography…
