Children will develop a proper attitude to work from school age.
Such a bill has been submitted to the State Duma.
“The new provision makes pupils’ participation in socially useful work compulsory: planting trees and flowers on school grounds, helping decorate a classroom or school area for an event, or assisting in a library or museum,” said bill co-author and State Duma Education Committee Chair Olga Kazakova.
‘One of the fundamental aims of educational organizations is to teach children from an early age to understand the importance and value of work and its role in every area of life. Only a child who knows how to work and enjoys it will be able to succeed professionally, in family life and in society as an adult,’ the explanatory memorandum states.
