Russians will be warned about debts they may inherit.
The State Duma is considering a bill requiring notaries handling inheritance cases to request information about the deceased's debts.
Heirs must then be notified in writing of the deceased person’s debts. This will help them make an informed decision and protect their rights.
There is currently no established procedure for informing heirs about the deceased person’s loan debts. As a result, they sometimes discover them only after accepting the inheritance.
