Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has set university targeted-admission quotas for 2022. Particular attention is paid to training medical personnel. To provide hospitals and clinics with new specialists and guarantee graduates employment, future doctors will continue to be trained mainly through targeted admission. Most state-funded medical places will remain targeted. Their share in General Medicine and Paediatrics will be 75%. In residency fields with the greatest shortages it reaches 100%. These include Anaesthesiology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Radiology, Diagnostic Radiology, Paediatric Oncology, Paediatric Endocrinology, Cardiology, Neurology, Otorhinolaryngology, Ophthalmology and others. Substantial quotas of 70% are set for specialists in radio-electronic systems and complexes, railway operations and train traffic support systems. Up to 60% of state-funded places are allocated to Railway, Bridge and Transport Tunnel Construction, Aircraft and Rocket Engine Design, Aircraft and Helicopter Manufacturing, and Aircraft Testing.
