
The relevant law entered into force this month. Regional authorities can now set quotas enabling children with disabilities to attend municipal and state health camps. These quotas will be allocated among specific organisations, taking into account whether they have the necessary equipment and conditions.
"The law will expand holiday opportunities for children with special needs. There are not many specialised camps. Yet it is especially important for children with disabilities to recover, gain strength and experience new positive emotions. It is wrong when they stay home all summer," State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin noted earlier.
