From 1 June 2024, new rules for awarding and paying the unified child benefit will take effect. These changes mainly affect parents receiving maintenance.
The way child support is counted will change, particularly where the payer makes payments voluntarily. Information about court decisions or orders awarding child support will be checked, and courts will provide the data at the Social Fund of Russia's request. If the information is not received within the prescribed time, the applicant will have to provide the relevant documents themselves.
The treatment of maintenance amounts will also change: the Social Fund will take them into account according to the number of children and the applicant’s status.
