"President Vladimir Putin instructed that the minimum wage be raised by 18.5% from 1 January 2024. This important decision will protect people and increase real incomes. Implementing it will raise wages for 4.8 million people," State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said earlier.
“The minimum wage also determines temporary incapacity, pregnancy and childbirth, sick-leave and other compulsory social insurance benefits,” he noted.
