From 1 January 2022, citizens will be able to Receive payments automatically for temporary incapacity or pregnancy and childbirth solely on the basis of an electronic sick-leave certificate, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said. "All medical institutions must upload them to the federal Sotsstrakh information system," he explained at an operational meeting with his deputies.
“Introducing a social treasury will ensure people receive all assistance due under the law without difficulty. This is particularly important for people who have just been ill and mothers who have recently had a baby. They cannot and, more importantly, should not have to visit offices and arrange benefits. They need to care for their child,” Mishustin emphasised.
